Title: Creator of Balance and Beauty

Gender: Female

Age: 50

Sun Sign: Aries

Chinese Sign: Earth Boar

Location: Broken Arrow, OK United States

About Me:

Raised and live in Oklahoma and have been on a path of continued transformation and self discovery for about 6 years… I'm coming to know in myself that we are all responsible and no one is to blame, and that everything effects everything.

My calling in life is in music and graphic design – all aspects, from writing, producing, engineering, performing, to creating website and producing CDs for musicians or anyone centered in music. Currently feeling a pull to have a much higher vision and calling in these areas than in the past, so I'm exploring what is possible on a larger scale.

The longer I live, the more beauty I see in the world, and in people … I have come to believe that every crises and emotional upset contains the seeds of great knowledge and wisdom, potential and possibility for quantum growth… (most times with our immediately family members) so I say, BRING IT ON … this from our Rumi says it all:

UNDRESSING
Learn the alchemy true human beings know: the moment you accept what troubles you’ve been given, the door will open.  Welcome  difficulty as a familiar comrade.  Joke with torment brought by the Friend.
Sorrows are the rags of old clothes and jackets that serve to cover, then are taken off.  That undressing, and the naked body underneath, is the sweetness that comes after grief.
— Jelaluddin Rumi

I frequently find myself talking to people I have not known before about important, heartfelt things … quite a contrast from the life I lived for 25 years of simply making lists and checking them off… head down, moving as fast as possible.

I see that we all feel the same things… I see that we all want the same things - love, respect and validation. This knowing has made it much easier to connect with ANYONE. Realzing that  people that used to terrify me with their intimating manner and demanding tone of voice simply have on their 'shark suit', as Lenedra Carroll puts it, the social mask .Remembering, they want the same things I do - “how might I connect with them?” becomes the question of the day.

I know that 'being' peace is the only true  way to bring peace to people I come in contact with. We don't FIND it somewhere … We ARE IT simply by choosing. Remembering is the hardest part! Most of all, I am so grateful, for everything….

Words that help me remember ….

The first essential characteristic of nonviolent action is that it is creative. — Hildegarde Goss-Mayr

Peace comes from being able to contribute the best that we have, and all that we are, toward creating a world that supports everyone. But it is also securing the space for others to contribute the best that they have and all that they are. — Hafsat Abiola

Three things in life are important.
The first is to be kind.
The second is to be kind.
The third is to be kind.

    — Wm James (to his nephew)

Love as much as you can from where you are with what you’ve got.  That’s the best you can ever do. It does no good to search frantically for peace, to seek anxiously after love, joy or freedom.  If you want joy, be joyful. If you want peace, be peaceful. — Cheri Huber
